Green Bond Workshop Series in China

Since the launch of the Green Bond Endorsed Project Catalogue by the People’s Bank of China (PBC) in December 2015, the Chinese market has become the fastest growing market for Green Bonds in the world, even surpassing the U.S. as the largest issuer of Green Bonds. In 2016, issuance reached USD 36.2 billion, representing 38 percent of total Green Bond issuance worldwide.

As more and more Chinese stakeholders are tapping the market, we invite representatives from regulatory & policymaking bodies, financial institutions, private companies and public sector institutions as well as environmental research institutions and rating agencies to join our workshops on Green Bonds.

Engaging with leading international and regional finance and climate science experts, the workshops aim to offer a practical, technical learning experience to enhance knowledge and build professional capacity on Green Bonds. Focus topics include:

  • Definitions
  • Selection
  • Verification
  • Monitoring
  • Reporting
